Vacancy - Supply Chain Operations Manager - Hull - Fulltime

This role will oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple teams to ensure a continuous high-quality service to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee multiple teams of diverse professionals, including goal setting, feedback, coaching, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and standards for quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction across teams.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics like revenue, costs, productivity, quality, and customer feedback.
  • Analyse and optimize operational processes and workflows, driving improvements and innovation.
  • Coordinate with senior managers and stakeholders across departments (sales, marketing, finance, product) to align goals.
  • Cultivate strong customer relationships, understand their needs, and exceed expectations.
  • Contribute to business development success by identifying and pursuing new opportunities and improving customer relations.
  • Manage team resources and budget efficiently and effectively.

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results and achieving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in relevant tools and software like Microsoft Office, CRM, ERP, and project management systems.
  • Fluent proficiency in spoken and written English.

  • Ensure smooth and efficient logistics operations, both administratively and operationally.

Skills Required

  • Over 3 years’ experience working in an operational role within the Freight Forwarding industry
  • Confident user of MS Office such as Work, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of EU Customs best practices for import and export a distinct advantage
  • Confident on the phone and able to work well within a team

Vacancy - Logistics Coordinator - Hull - Fulltime

This role will support all import and export tasks while maintaining client relationships, handling queries and resolving complaints.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers, managing and responding to all inquiries.
  • Foster positive relationships to support new business growth.
  • Follow up on customer satisfaction according to established guidelines.
  • Promote our services during client interactions and seize opportunities to offer them when appropriate.
  • Represent the company as a mentor and role model, consistently setting a positive example.
  • Provide daily coordination of logistics activities, both operational and administrative, for DSCS customers.
  • Plan and monitor service delivery.
  • Communicate regularly with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain and update records of customer feedback.
  • Update financial records upon receipt of funds, ensuring accurate alignment between cash-in and spreadsheets.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets, systems, and databases to accurately track information for import and export shipments.
  • Offer flexible support across various business functions as needed.

Skills Required

  • Confident user of MS Office such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to speak confidently on the phone and work well with others.
  • Prior experience working within Freight Forwarding would be desirable but not essential
  • Desire to learn and build a career within a busy environment
