3.85m high transformer transported to Hungary

Abnormal Load Services’ (ALS) operations team in Moerdijk transported an oversized transformer from Slovenia to Hungary by road.

This 79 tonne abnormal load arrived at Port of Koper on one of the group’s vessels, where ALS then took over the shipment.

Cargo dimensions were: 7 metres long, 3.75 metres wide and 3.85 metres high.

Discharge of the transformer at site on to a plinth using a 500 Tonne mobile crane was organised by the ALS team in Moerdijk, Netherlands.

The transformer will be used in a giga factory which produces batteries for electric vehicles.
