ALS Germany provide permits & pilot cars
ALS in Germany have handled numerous exports, import clearances and transit documents which are required daily for the UK and Europe.
2nd January 2024
The team have created over 680 UK permits in the last 3 years using the Highways England Electronic Service Delivery for Abnormal Loads (ESDAL) system.
As an example, the office arranged a permit, pilot car, street furniture removal and police escorts for a 5m wide generator which was loaded on to a semi-low loader for a journey from Harwich Docks to King’s Lynn to exchange the Generator with a faulty one and return to Harwich Docks.
In Denmark (pictured below) a permit and private escort vehicle was provided for a move from Lem to Border, Germany on the E45. This particular move involved the removal of street furniture, 3 x Trucks loaded with 1 x Turbine blade each, combinations were @ L:84.00m x W:4.28m x H:4.47m = 80,000 Kg each.
Permits can be provided for (UK), (IE), (XI), (DK), (F), (NL), (B), (AT), (PL) and more...........
This type of extra work is not only for the benefit of our clients but to ensure a smooth out of gauge / heavy load movement by avoiding obstacles i.e., railway bridges, low bridges, motorway restrictions, weak ground, bus lanes etc and also take into consideration any requirements to remove street furniture on the route.
