Wide tanks transported at night

Two 5.10 metre wide and 4.80 metre high vessels weighing 10 Tonnes each were moved overnight from Yorkshire to Warwickshire by road last weekend. 

Due to several weight limits in the vicinity of the manufacturer the vehicles had to negotiate 3km of Hull’s old riverside industrial area. 

To add to the challenge due to the width of the water storage tanks being in excess of 5 metres, movement was only permitted to take place at night in darkness. 

With careful planning, surveying and the expertise of the drivers of both the trucks and private escort vehicles both tanks reached Warwickshire safely.
