…for overseas tank shipment

A tank measuring 11.60 metres x 4.25 metres x 4.50 metres high, with a weight of 39 Tonnes was transported by ALS from Scotland to Germany
The cargo was loaded in Scotland and transported by road to a Dutch port to meet a vessel destined for Germany.
It was necessary to amend the ferry booking and UK permit due to changes in the tank’s dimensions.
ALS’ operations teams in Ahrensburg, Hamburg, Germany and Moerdijk, Netherlands worked together to ensure the tank made the intended vessel connection on time as its’ size grew by 50 centimetres in length and 500 kgs in weight.
On arrival in Holland the trailer was positioned under the crane ready for this morning’s transhipment into a barge, ready for the move to the tank’s final destination in Germany.
