Team work for global distribution of 150 Komatsu machines

Worldwide construction equipment logistics, abnormal load, project cargo and supply chain solutions specialist WWL ALS (Freight Management Nederland) B.V appointed by Bia BV Netherlands as in house forwarder to manage the complete operation of transporting 150 Komatsu machines.

In August 2011 Boels Rental Service agreed with Bia BV Netherlands and Komatsu Europe International S/A to buy 150 new Komatsu machines including: skid steer loaders, wheel loaders and wheeled - and tracked excavators.

The purchase of the machines will strengthen Boels Rental Service position as market leader in rental services for the construction equipment sector.

Boels is aiming to achieve maximum availability of their rental machines and continually invests in offering a complete and varied range of construction equipment to maintain their position as market leader in the rental sector.

The Komatsu machines, purchased by Boels are manufactured in Komatsu’s European factories in Italy, Germany and the UK.

WWL ALS’ construction equipment teams in Italy, the UK, Germany and Holland will arrange the European transportation.

The machinery movements include mobile and static dumper trucks, excavators, graders, drilling machines and cranes weigh up to 21 tons each and comprise of abnormal load/ out of gauge dimensions.

All machines are painted in the already famous Boels orange colour and will be enhanced with the new "Boels rental" logo.

As part of the agreement between Boels and Bia BV, Bia BV will be in charge for maintenance of these machines.

According to the current plan all machines will be delivered to Boels before the end of May 2012.
