Team work to transport Komatsu crawler excavators to Algeria
12th February 2020
ALS colleagues in the UK and Holland worked together to arrange the smooth transportation of 2 Komatsu machines.
The crawler excavators were transported from ALS’ client’s premises to a UK port where they were shipped to Belgium.
Each machine measured 11.91 metres long x 3.40 metres wide x 3.88 metres high and weighed 46 Tonnes.
Both Komatsu PC450-8s joined a vessel in Belgium to continue their journey to Algeria.
Cranes were used to handle and load both Komatsu PC450-8s onto the vessel.
It is anticipated that the vessel would take 11 days to reach its final destination.
