ALS move large Outer Radiant Coil
An Outer Radiant Coil with dimensions of 11.40L x 5.26W x 5.26H and a total weight of 26,000kgs was successfully transported from Hull to Oldbury.

ALS Hull arranged the route and transportation for the coil which due to its size meant it could not travel on the motorway network as bridges are only guaranteed to have a height of 5m.
After detailed planning, route checks and preparation; the transit was successfully conducted and escorted by ALS over 7 days, it also involved the assistance and cooperation of seven different police forces.
The first three days covered nearly 200 miles whereas normally it would be less than 90 miles using the motorway networks. It also involved (under police escort) going the wrong way down a one-way system in Alfreton.
