Sandvik DX800 drill rig en route to the USA

ALS Moerdijk’s operations team in the Netherlands organised both the precarriage and the oncarriage of a Sandvik DX800 drill rig from Finland to the USA.

The Ranger machine is a diesel-powered, self-propelled top-hammer drill rig, which is engineered for work in challenging terrain for site set up, pre-split, and production in surface drilling.

Dimensions of the machine were: 11.30 metres long x 2.45 metres wide x 3.20 metres high with a weight of 16 Tons.
